“Anyplace that I can go, it just can’t be home.” Koko said. Fifteen years ago, Koko came to New York alone because she wanted to escape her family, her neighbors, and her home that she called as cage. Koko grown up in a small village in Kaohsiung, Taiwan; her parents controlled and taught her with rigour; she was not allow to have long hair, wear pink clothes. Many people looked at her as a freak in her hometown.
“Any place that I can go, it just can’t be home.” Koko said. Fifteen years ago, Koko came to New York alone because she wanted to escape her family, her neighbors, and her home that she called as cage.
